We have a basement, downstairs, in our house, but I've never lived in it.

I've never lived in a basement, so I voted for that... didn't see the "we don't have basements around here" option though, should've voted for that.

Well my bedroom was in my parents basement but that was about it. For everything else i went up stairs. As far as now, the house i'm renting from my mom (she moved back out to the farm with my dad) has a nice furnished basement. This is were my computer repair work area and my main workstation is. So I do feel like I live down here most of the day. Not sure if that really counts though.

Lived in the basement many many years ago while at the parents house. The basement in my current house has been turned into a computer room/lounge room. Although I do spend a fair amount of time at the computer and have crashed on the couch a few times though.

It would be hard for me to do that as that is where I keep my meth lab. Thats stuff is dangerous, and you dont want to sleep around it.

I have never lived in a basement myself, and I would not unless the basement is completely finished with carpet and drywall and all that good stuff. That said, I have a friend who lives in his parents' basement, finished and furnished, and it is arguably a better living space than my apartment.
