Quick question. Should I set javascript.options.jit.chrome to 'true'? Will it give me the 'blazing-fast speeds' they keep hyping?

It will speed things up a bit. There is no reason to not turn it on. I don't even know why it's disabled by default.

I guess it's because its not yet officially supported and tested. That said I haven't run into any issues at all with it.

Chrome's buggier than content, with content you're talking JS > DOM, but with content you have interaction with DOM, binary plugins, etc.

Chrome JIT should be enabled in the next release, but you'd get no real speedup by enabling it now.

Right, it is enabled for web content. Chrome refers to the XUL-based user interface. So like I said, the new javascript engine is already enabled and enabling the chrome setting won't make browsing any faster.

However it can make the browser become slightly more responsive thus increasing the speed at which you browse.
