lol nice, have they actually confirmed a 2nd season for Fringe?, I do not recall. Either way the show is awesome and with the way they ended the first season it sure would be nice to see a 2nd.

Yeah it was confirmed about half way through season 1, it did really well in the ratings and is really well received! :D

Ha! Cool, he must get paid a hell of a lot of money to go to places to "observe".

On the Fringe Season 2 topic... can't wait :D

Edit: 3dfxman- Are you joking? It was obviously getting a 2nd season :D and yes, their is a 2nd season ;)

I know, dumb question lol, it's just i know how networks like to end a show before its time so i wasn't sure, but great news :)

There has been some set photos that have looked quite good!

Question: Do you have any Fringe news? Pretty please, with a cherry on top that hasn't been soaked in high fructose corn syrup? --Tyre

Ausiello: I hear the opening sequence in the season premiere is going to be killer -- and I mean that literally and figuratively.

Question: Any tips about the second season of Fringe? --Lolotte

Ausiello: I can confirm that Charlie (the exiting Kirk Acevedo) does in fact appear in the premiere. I can also confirm that what happens to him will blow your frakkin' mind.

Question: Why is Kirk Acevedo leaving Fringe? His choice? Storyline dictated? --Dee

Ausiello: Storyline dictated. Charlie wasn't going to have much to do this season, and rather than waste Kirk's time, they cut him loose. But as I teased last week, we haven't seen the last of him.

Fringe writers Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman, and showrunner Jeff Pinkner, revealed something crucial about how the creative team thinks about the multiverse in this increasingly twisty, weird science show co-created by JJ Abrams.

The writing team, working with JJ Abrams, has mapped out the entire arc of season 2. One of the lingering issues at the end of season 1 was exactly how many parallel universes there are out there - especially now that characters have started seeing them and moving between them. So does Fringe exist in a DC universe-style "infinite Earths"?

Apparently not. I asked the team whether they talk about "Earth Prime," "Earth 2," "Earth 3," etc. in the writing room, or whether they have any other terminology. Pinkner said no, they only talk about "our reality and alternate reality." So there you have it: There are only two worlds. Ours and the alternate one. So don't worry about a crisis on infinite Peters. Or a giant army of Walters from 1000 different worlds. There are only two.

    • Salesforce to acquire Fin, formerly Intercom, for over $3 billion by David Uzondu Image via DepositPhotos.com Salesforce today announced that it has reached an agreement with customer support software company Fin to buy the company for around $3.6 billion. Salesforce expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2027, and the acquisition will not change its financial guidance previously announced on May 27. Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, in its press release, claimed that acquiring the startup gives Salesforce an immediate AI agent that resolves support tickets across email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Slack: You might know Fin by its former name, Intercom. If you have ever been on a website or inside a mobile app and noticed a little chat bubble widget floating in the bottom right corner of your screen, often featuring a friendly face and a message like, "Hi! How can we help you today?" you were almost certainly looking at Intercom. Intercom became Fin just last month, transforming itself into an "AI-first" platform that handles customer issues with little need for humans to intervene. The new name originates from the company's highly successful AI customer service agent, which it launched way back in 2023. This digital assistant supposedly resolves about 76% of customer service volume end-to-end on its own, so the business rebranded to match its primary software tool. Fin's new owners, Salesforce, went on an acquisition spree over the last few years, and some of them you might recognize, like its 2020 $27.7 Billion acquisition of Slack. The last few months saw the enterprise giant buy several startups, including m3ter, Momentum, Cimulate, and Contentful. Salesforce said that when the Fin deal pulls through, customers will "deploy AI agents across" various service operations, which will complement Agentforce, the platform that enables businesses to deploy customizable autonomous digital workers.
