I changed folder icon using iconsetxp.

I used to see all nice icons in XP just with one change ... but how to do this in vista.

My changed icons are only visible in the list view. Please see the image attached.

Do I need to download special (vista compatible) icons??

anyone ....?

Right Click the folder and choose Properties > Customize (tab) > and under Folder pictures click on Choose File...

That should let you put whatever image or icon you want for each folder I think. I do not do it on the computer I am on right now so I could be completely wrong.

it has to be in .ico format though if you change it that way

a more complicated way

but i believe you can use any file type

also if you don't want to you can use this free online ico converter
