A highly customized MBP should be a beast among the current Apple line. According to Apple Store the best MBP you can get will cost around $4,398.00 and includes:

3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2X4GB

500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm

SuperDrive 8x (DVD?R DL/DVD?RW/CD-RW)

MacBook Pro 17-inch Hi-Resolution Antiglare Widescreen DisplaApple LED Cinema Display (24? flat panel)

Optionally you can forget about the extra display and just use the cash for something else.

BTW, can you show me some ti:p? :p

The best is usually the biggest and most expensive MacBook Pro - BUT... People have their different definition of 'best'.

I'd personally never buy the 17 inch one, even if money is no object. There's one to the right of me, and it's just too big and heavy to be used as a laptop. It's always sat on a desk here.

He is right and because of that I did another custom one but now based on the 15 inch model. For $3,299.00 you get:

3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB

And save another 1000 bucks that can go either to savings, debts or getting a Cinema Display and a SSD drive ($4,798.00 total with these two)

I think $1000 for ram is a rip off so i think ill get a ssd hdd instead, would blu ray be available ? and the apple time machine device what's that about? how does it work? is it worth it? I really want something for back up i use my iphone as back up right now lol

tips on NLHE?

i prefer 17" because I use a slingbox, and download alot of tv shows/movies usually 720/1080p rips

Time Machine is a set of system backups. It's like System Restore on Windows. It basically makes snapshots of your system at different times, so if you have a problem, you can 'go back' to an earlier config.

It works with any hard drive, so there is no cost involved other than the cost of a hard drive. I'd use it for safety.

Blu ray is not available on OS X right now, but it may be in the future. Also, $1000 for a twin set of 4GB sticks of Apple compatible DDR3 memory is actually about right.

I would put the biggest Solid State Drive they offer as well as Max Ram, Max Processor, 15" glossy, remote control, + 24" led display

:D

I would also wait till January 2010 too see what apple releases with the Nehalem Chipsets.

      Ninja Theory was great until Microsoft acquired them. They let them spend a decade on two games, with a third on the way, that explore mental health and were OK interactive experiences. Sony appears to be able to choose better IPs to develop, particularly single player. I'm probably going to buy a PS5 just for Wolverine and God of War Laufey (which reminds me of Heavenly Sword when Ninja Theory was with Sony making games).
