COD:MW2 resetting ranks

Recommended Posts

I've heard stories and so many things about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in terms of resetting everybodies rank on November 9th, or 10th or 11th.

I've also heard rumors that if you sign into Xbox LIVE with COD:MW2 in, you'll instantly get banned. Some even said they are recording all the usernames and going to ban them on November 10th.

So I decided to just try it. I turned on my xbox, played a few matches and not been banned, yet.

I googled, and looked all the infinity ward blogs about these "rumors", and so far turned up nothing.

I've received hate mail, and people complaining to me on Xbox LIVE (those 'friends' are not removed), saying all these things to me.

I know some people have heard this stuff too, but there isn't any proof that Infinity Ward is going to do anything about it. Personally, I don't care, but I got the game on Saturday and im dying to play multiplayer lol.

Does anybody have a link to an official source about this stuff?

Rumors and nothing more. Think about the complexity and increase in support calls for mass banning or for profile modification. Not to mention the technical aspects of implementing such a system. Yeah, they probably have the capability, but using it is another story. Don't worry about it. Probably nothing will happen.

You are wrong people, YOU CAN STILL GET BANNED. You can still get banned, but its not because you bought the game early and played it early. It is because they don't know whether you pirated the game or not. So if you are banned, all you have to do is call MS up and show them that you bought the game and its not pirated and you will be un-banned. :)

Simple as that.

And I purchased the game lol, stores are selling it early. I can upload a pic of it if you like. My friends and I went and all got a copy, I have a pic of all 4 of our games in hand :p

I don't have the source on hand, but there was a quote from MS/IW about it.

Okay, time for

FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL.

again.

Please, for the future of humanity stop posting such nonsense. MS have many ways of catching out the pirates, most popular is playing a leaked copy that cannot be verified as 100% legit until more retail copies are doing circulation.

If the copy is 1:1 belief is they cannot detect you, but it's a fact the copies of MW2 that leaked were botched, and people were clambering over the workarounds to get them playing.

How about this..

confirming they WON'T.

And Xbox Live security themselves

seems like a lot of people are getting it early in the UK, but in the US no one seems to be selling it early, which I am not going to complain, poor old UK has to wait on along of things that we get early over here in the states, so good for them (Y)

My friend in the states already got his copy from Gamestop. His in Pennselvania. It seems a lot of places are disregarding the street date.

Just in case some people were none-believers :p

wow. I know our Gamestop here in Montgomery are having a midnight release tonight, with 250 pre-orders already in the store.

The big question is where Andrew ;).

lol, I got it at a flea market :p They are only open Saturday and Sunday and always sell games, movies and other stuff early before the street date Tuesday :)

I can't give up the exact location, that's my source :p

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
