Modern Warfare 2 wallhacks already released

Recommended Posts

It's been less than 48 hours since the PC release of Modern Warfare 2, and multiplayer has already been abused by script kiddies. Could this be an omen of things to come? Check out footage of the wallhacking below.

Fortunately, the people who developed the hack are asking for money in return; hence, hopefully this will slow the uptake until Infinity Ward can get a patch out.

?So how are those dedicated servers coming?

"We are taking away dedicated servers and offering IW Net to completely clamp down on and prevent cheatin.... ehhh.... Dedicated servers are bad".

And PC gamers think they're being cheated by IW

It's your cheating PC-playing colleagues who are cheating you, ultimately.

No you're cheated by IW/Activision "PR Speak".

They tried to say how what they were doing would be the holy grail of cheat prevention, when all it really was was adding steam protection, something other games have had for years. Steam is a good anti-cheat system, but it's not invincible, it's superior when coupled with dedicated servers so you can pick servers with regulars you can trust, ability to votekick and servers with good admins who respond quickly to cheating claims that VAC hasn't yet caught.

Right now in matchmaking you're stuck with a cheat for the whole duration unless you quit.

Huh? There'll be hacks for the 360 without a doubt.

Nope.

Only cheating you'll see on PS3/360 will be through glitches, and glitches are easily patched.

You can't run unsigned code/applications on consoles so therefore there will be no wallhacks/aimbots.

Yeah i was talking to my friend about this last night, IW and its "IWNET will stop cheaters", now if you get a cheater in the game you cant even fecking kick them, i was going to buy this game for MP after playing some MW1 9v9 and actually preferring it to massive 20v20+ servers. But not now.

I know it's still early, but what exactly is the issue in this video? There's a guy killing other guys, looks like standard MP to me.

Wow! Did you really watch the video? His gun follows players while they're behind walls, immediately shooting their heads the moment they come into view. Also does such shots with a machine gun from an amazingly long range too!

Probably because he watched it in such a tiny window you cant make out the boxes around enemies or that hes using an aimbot unless you click through or go fullscreen.

I guess I skipped the first few seconds, I just saw him doing close range kills the first time.

That was because IW left the command console in the console versions and a glitch allowed access to it. MW2 doesn't even have a console any more, not even on the PC.

The cheats being used were merely commands in the game, such as noclip and other modifiers devs have access to, or historically players when they start games with command line modifiers.

There cannot be aimbots/wallhacks on consoles unless consoles can run unsigned code.

Pretty sure I read that someone "hacked" the console back in - sounds like it was just disabled through a config or the like.

The hack he is using is a wall hack, it places boxes and lines towards other players showing information on were they are. The person playing can then get ready to shoot them before he can see them. As far as I can tell there is no aim bot been used there, just wall hacks

Hes headshotting people with HMGs from across the other side of map, im pretty sure it is an aimbot as well.

    • Ahh, I didn't know that. It makes sense. I was thinking I would be fine with 50 hours, but 100 is close enough that I wouldn't feel like I am paying for more than I am using. I might check it out sometime.
    • Google's next-gen Tensor AI chips might be produced by Samsung, report says by Hamid Ganji Image via Google Google’s Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) is produced in collaboration with companies such as Broadcom and TSMC, but a recent report suggests that the search giant is in talks with Samsung to hand over part of the production to the Korean tech company. According to a report by The Information, citing people familiar with the matter, Google has begun talks with Samsung about using its chip manufacturing capacity for the next generation of Tensor AI chips. Google’s upcoming TPUs are reportedly codenamed “Icefish” and will be produced using Samsung's 2-nanometer process technology. Meanwhile, Samsung is expected to produce only a portion of the next-generation Tensor chips, with most of the production remaining at TSMC. The Information says the new Tensor chips are currently in the design stage and are scheduled to enter mass production in 2028. TSMC is generally considered one of the most reliable chip manufacturing partners and is trusted by tech giants such as Apple and Google. However, the growing demand for TSMC’s AI chips, combined with the company’s focus on meeting demand from AI data centers, has reportedly prompted Google to seek additional manufacturing partners for its next-generation TPUs. Besides Samsung and TSMC, Intel could also be assigned part of the production. The Information reported this week is that Google has begun talks with Intel to produce up to three million TPUs in 2028. However, this is not the first time Google has partnered with Samsung on chip production, as Samsung has previously manufactured Tensor chips for Pixel smartphones. Google’s Tensor Processing Unit is used in cloud data centers and competes with NVIDIA’s chips, which currently dominate the market. By relying on in-house chips, Google can not only reduce its dependence on third-party providers but also create new revenue opportunities. The company has already supplied its TPUs to the AI firm Anthropic.
    • Reminder that the Premium and Ultimate plans already come with a 100 hour per month limit, which you then have to pay more to increase in 15 hour blocks.
    • It does invite Linux because MS should have been improving their products all along these years instead chose to ignore the users now this year they’re making all of these improvements to their products where as Linux doesn’t have this kind of problems in fact it has gotten so good I can even play Windows games in Steam that I no longer ever needed Windows to carry on with my life, unlike you still use Windows and chose to try beat down down those who don't use Windows because they love their LG TV. (Surprisingly I actually own a 55” LED LG TV and it has been going strong for almost 14 years, longer than any Sony TV”)
    • As much as I love owning my own hardware, it's hard to argue with the value. I'm not a huge gamer, I'd actually be interested in a cheaper plan with limited monthly hours, or even a pay-by-the-hour plan.
