Batch printing of Word documents?

Question

I have this client at work here that needs to print ~2000 Word documents. There is 1 problem though, they are pretty much all in Legal size and she must print them in Letter size. Is there a program out there that would let her select all the Word documents, select Letter size and then print. The client does not want to open 2000 documents one by one and select Print.

Thanks :)

What about just setting the default page sizes and dimensions in the Printer settings and control pannel. Then you right click and print. If that doesn't work, convert the documents to PDF and then print them? I can't think of any other ways.

If you use Adobe Acrobat to convert the files into a PDF as a batch, you can then print those pages with the default setting of "Shrink to Printable Area" and the legal pages will print on letter paper scaled, but not re-paginated. Really, you don't even want re-pagination if the formatting of the document is at all important.

Like above stated.... if you convert them to a pdf (which can be done in one go, even with just "basic" printing to pdf, rather than selecting a printer - and don't worry about size) - then select the pdfs to print and set them to scale and set your paper size.

If you have full acrobat I would be tempted to make a new document combining all the word files - and then just use print from within acrobat.

(a little off-topic but god legal/letter sizes are horrid, when will some countires move to ISO sizes - specifically A)
