What old system do you still use and what for?

Sure it's been done before but couldn't find a huge thread on it but what old(ish?) system do you have and what do you use it for... feel free to post pics if you do so wish!

Only old system I have now is a Celeron 500mhz system that is now just used for Internet browsing etc but has been a UT server in the past. Did have a Pentium II 233mhz system that ran Windows 95 that had been handed to me until I advised them they needed an upgrade in order to edit video!

haha oldest? i've just got around to finishing my 'new' machine..... started November last year and finished it in time (just) for Windows 7 to be released. Would've gone Core i7 if I hadn't received a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P for Christmas last year! That replaced a six year old Athlon XP 2500 warrior machine that took some real hammer.

We were given a slapped together PC earlier in the year to tide us over until we can afford a new one which should be soon!

it has an Athlon XP 1.34Ghz with no SSE support enabled

20GB HDD

512MB 133mhz SDRAM - 64MB of which is shared with SiS 730 graphics.

CD-ROM (no DVD RW)

VGA port is working loose from the mobo and the on board USB's are long dead so we have a seperate pci USB card.

BIOS date is 1996 (or 8 cant remember)

it likes to crash a lot, currently have Fedora with Gnome installed, Windows seemed to crash more than fedora on this and windows had no sound as the only sound driver caused BSoD's.

Pentium III 600Mhz, 384MB RAM, 80GB HDD, Windows XP Pro. Used for MS Office and internet browsing.

Also, have Pentium II 233MHz with Windows 98 but not in use. Thought about using it as a file server, but it can't hold bigger harddrives.

I have a Compaq Aero notebook with a 486 cpu and 4mb ram, i am playing DOS games with it. my w7 does not run these power hungry games :D

DOSBox much? It's a great app and I play almost all of my DOS classics on it!

And now with XP-Mode, I can play other games that weren't 100% Win7 happy too :D

Running a business, I have parts to make up over a hundred PCs, the smallest I could make you would be a Celeron 300 I think! ;)

No wait, I do believe I could make a P233MMX computer

The oldest I have is an IBM PC/XT that I use now and then for playing old 8088 based games and programs. I even got it on the internet once, though with a text based browser and green monochrome display most sites were not very usable. I also have an old Pentium II based system which has acted as a backup a few times when my current system had a hardware failure of some sort. I still have a Powerbook 1400c with OS 8.6 which I mostly used for reading ebooks but it has been put away for quite a while now.

An old PIII IBM Thinkpad A21m laptop. 700MHz 118.6 MiB ram. Got it for free. The battery wont hold a charge longer than 3 minutes.

Installed Xubuntu and LXDE on it. This way can play with linux, and if I mess it up (Like I have done in the past many times), I haven't effected my main computer. I would use it as a file server, but its only got a 10 gig hdd, and I can't be bothered to upgrade it.

Also have a AMD 1ghz, 512mb ram, 64 meg video card with 200gig hdd that I might turn into a file server. It was my main computer up until last week. Just need to find somewhere to put it...

I still have a White & Blue Power Mac G3, with a whopping 300mb of RAM. I have OS 10.3, 10.1, and 9.2 all booting off one partitioned hard drive. I mostly use it for nostalgia, as well as playing music and doing menial tasks like downloading/torrenting.
