Hi guys, I am looking for a 5.0GHZ wireless adapter. I am not sure yet but is the PCI card faster or the USB as a network adapter? I am looking for something that will work well with (World of Warcraft, Team Fortress 2, .. etc)

Also, as searching the internet I came across this for a USB, link.

I am still looking for a PCI card, if any one knows any good ones, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Note: I know that the Ethernet Cable is better, but the new setup that I am planning to do at home will make the Router out side of my room. And I don't want to make a long cable to it.

Admin, plz delete this double post, it happened by problem in the internet connection.

You could always do power line networking. I would go with PCI over USB if I had to choose between the two. I could not find any PCI 802.11N cards either. Here are some suggestions though...

-802.11N is final. There are a lot of draft cards/routers that MAY not be compatible with final N. Keep that in mind.

-If you have any 802.11G devices on the same network it will bring the network to G speeds. That is unless you have a dual RADIO router. Dual band just means it does 2.4 and 5Ghz.

-Don't forget to use at least WPA with a strong password.

-Below is a great networking site.

As fara s i'm aware, having a ACTIVE G client on a N network doesn't bring down the network to G speeds like before when a active B device would bring down a G network to 11Mbps speeds. Surely, N speeds will be slower but not down to 20Mbps speeds for sure, maybe 40 or so.
