Video Problem

Hi, I was hoping someone could help me with a video file problem. When playing a video, there is a red line in in the center, running from top to bottom of every video type I play and on every video player I use.

Video Encoding? Bitrate?

Does this happen when using legacy - software - video decoding?

Does using Home Cinema fix this?

Does it only occur with content from that fansub group? With that one file?

Codecs: Those that were installed with these programs. I was hoping to not have to install a codec pack.

Default Windows 7 Ultimate x86

Default Nero 9

Default Beyond TV

Default WinTV 7

The problem occurs with all file types, Store bought DVDs, avi, wmv, ect..

I had XP installed and had no problems, then I formatted and did a clean installation of Windows 7 Ultimate. Thats when the problem started.

Any other info needed?

Hi Tatiana,

This red line looks like it's dividing the video the to allow the user to compare video settings (so called "Demo mode").

....or it's the driver :)

Ati CCC has a demo mode where you can see the original vid on the left and adjusted settings on the right

I can't find 'demo mode' in CCC, driver version 10.1, where is it?

I seem to remember having to download "Avivo Video Converter" or another 3rd party addon for it to show, I will post back if I find it
