Pretty sure George Lucas ruined the last x amout of Star Wars films ;)

As for pretty-boi - well yeah, I guess he kinda is. But he makes Elijah Wood look like the next Al Pacino (back when he was good), in comparison. And lord knows Elijah Wood aint the greatest actor on Earth either.

You all are too harsh on Hayden as Anakin... say what you will, but I doubt many actors could done what he has done as Anakin in Episode III. He looked just perfect for the evil look of Darth Vader.

There are not many actors who in Hollywood today has played a PRETTY boy and then a menacing looking bad guy.

He certainly had a talent of bring very evil look to his pretty looking face in no time and that I am sure is what convienced GL that he is FIT for the role than any other actors who you think are better actors.

I more or less gave him a pass with the Star Wars movies, thinking perhaps that Lucas had him act poorly, but then I saw Jumper and knew it wasn't Lucas' fault.

All much better actors that could have fit the role with proper direction. Then again, they'd still be working with a script that had lines like this:

Padme: We used to come here for school retreat. We would swim to that island every day. I love the water. We used to lie out on the sand and let the sun dry us and try to guess the names of the birds singing.

Anakin: I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.

Yep he was very good in this movie and it was a great movie overall. I'm sure Kevin Kline had something to do with it, though. Christensen hasn't done much good since then. I think "Awake" was his next best movie.
