It asked to install DX9 so I did. I wasn't in a hurry to move to DX9. But it fixed the viewing of my Neowin Icon. That's pretty kool. :D

there is absolutely nothing wrong with directx9, Somoa. It is great. Why would you wait so long man? :p Directx 9 games will be out all from this month on. Halo, HalfLife2, and pretty much everything else. You must not play splinter cell either. All you need now is a good directx9 card. :cool:

and playing through the first level of Tron, it's pretty fun. I like how unique the game is and I love the Lithtech engine. It's like the unreal engine only all the vertex shaders get done in hardware for a change. That's why it runs so fast for me.

The unreal engine runs half as fast as it should because a lot is done in software for compatibility purposes.

Well i think 2 replies does it for me lol, i been alil weary about getting it and i have also fought with a friend about it, but since i havent even played the demo i cant really put the game down, so i think that today after scool im going to purchase it see how it is, thanks for the thread...

I'm getting a copy from a friend. that demo is cool. I love the lightcycles.

I haven't seen any improvement in performance since installing DX9. Infact, DX8.1 appears to run just a bit better..
