J.J. Abram's 'Alcatraz'.

Personally I found Terra Nova to be better. I actually hope this gets cancelled. IMO the networks have been putting out garbage lately. It seems that cable networks have been doing much better at original programming than the major networks, ala Mad Men, Walking Dead, Games of Throne, Boardwalk Empire, etc... You'd never see anything like those on network tv.

Think your wrong there, Alcatraz has been way better than Terra Nova and hoping something gets cancelled because you dont like it is stupid! Im getting fed up of starting to watch programs im enjoying just for them to be cancelled, i mean i dont like Mad Men and Broardway Empire but i wouldnt turn around and say i wish they were cancelled as for The Walking Dead for the whole of season 2 was pretty terrible if im honest the only decent thing that happened in the whole of season 2 was at the end!

To me too many crap programs get too many chances while others that are good get cancelled.

If this gets cancelled I'll be screwing. This just started getting really good in the last 4 or 5 episodes of the series. Fox shouldn't care about bloody ratings, they still make a humongous profit. Plus those ratings don't take into consideration international ratings. I'm sure a lot of people watch it throughout the world!

From a person who dislikes Lost and really, really likes Fringe:

I watched episode 1, I had high hopes but seemed very rushed to introduce characters and give a very weak story to make the "team". A lot of the budget seemed to have been blown on "on location" shooting rather than hiring plot suitable actors. I found the supporting characters did a better job than any of the main characters.

I really tried with episode 2, same result. I don't really understand what was so mysterious about the recreating of Alcatraz in the woods etc. To me this is the Polar Bear or Bunker in Lost, a bloody silly plot device that will go on for many episodes with no real full explanation.

Be a shame if it gets cancelled as it will be one of the worst cliffhanger cancelled finales I can remember in recent times. It felt like a half season finale rather than a season finale

I don't want to get too off topic, but I think a few others are in the same league or may even be worse: The Event and FlashForward are two that come to mind. Both of those shows had very intriguing endings that didn't answer squat, both shows were canceled after one season. Although, out of those two, the only one I care about is FlashFoward. That show had an amazing story.

If it comes back, I know a thing we need more of: More Rebecca running scenes with a low-cut blouse or a tight turtleneck. :shiftyninja:

Microsoft confirmed June 23, 2026, that its Fairwater campus in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, is fully operational — and the engineering behind it makes the facility something fundamentally different from every data center that came before it. Where conventional cloud infrastructure racks up general-purpose servers and parcels out workloads to each one independently, Fairwater links hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200 Blackwell GPUs into a single, coherent cluster using a two-story building design, 800-gigabit-per-second Ethernet fabric, and a proprietary networking protocol co-developed with OpenAI and NVIDIA. The result, according to Microsoft, is the closest thing to a purpose-built AI supercomputer that any company has ever placed in commercial operation. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/319205/20260627/microsoft-opens-fairwater-wisconsin-ai-campus-runs-one-supercomputer-via-800g-ethernet.htm
