WiFi problem 3rd Gen iPod Touch

Prior to the snow storm the device while handled roughly by the kids worked perfectly fine, while we lost power I did charge it one off my Mom's iMac, afterwards I needed to reset it because it didn't want to deassociate itself from Mom's Mac, since then the WiFi on it stopped working, when I go into the settings it is greyed out.

Anyone have a clue how to get it back working? I've reset it fro iTunes and from the device itself, still not working. Yes, running the latest version of iOS too.
