I have a gateway 9510 Server and since the last reboot it started beeping and it wont stop. I notice before this happen, I was checking out the HDs that were in the server. I check this site out http://www.winvistat...on-t666248.html and it appears to be the same issue as mine. If it is because of down grading raid, how do I check it or what? Please help you guys :(

You need to reboot the server and check the RAID controller.

You should have software from gateway thats installed on your system if its windows to check the array from within windows. Your server should also have lights with each hdd that will show if a hdd is broken. If not usually you have to hit control s ,control i , or control m when the raid controllers bios boots up to get into the raid firmware which will also tell you if there i a raid problem.

When you're rebooting the server; it will prompt you what to press to get into the RAID controller config.

This is kinda funny. Posting for help about a server that beeps! It sounds like a theme for an episode of The IT Crowd. :D

Seriously, no offense intended, (i really do mean that) but if you can't diagnose a beep code, you probably have no business maintaining or even touching servers. If this thing holds anything critically important to you keeping your job, bring a pro in! (Y)
