dell Unknown Device - missing driver

Hi

I did a fresh windows install on my Bro's laptop and downloaded and installed all drivers from dell's site. But I still see one missing driver for an unknown device. How do I find out which one is it? I have googled already and didnt find anything helpful.

Its a Dell Vostro 3550 with win7 64-bit.

If everything is working fine, i.e. sound, wi-fi e.t.c. then you don't have to worry.

It might be the drivers for external removable devices

Make sure you run all Windows update. I found that this sometimes installs the missing drivers. Also, make sure you DL the drives from Dell and install everything needed.

Also, open the device, go to the Details/hardware ID section. Should display the devices hardware ID that you can Google. Will help narrow down what hte device is. What I have done in the past when I was unsure what something was.

I finally found it. Its for finger validity sensor.

All drivers installed and working now.
