Here's a few pictures of my new (to me) toy I picked up a few weeks ago.

Mmmm. Square goodness.

Personally I think I would change the wheels. Just a minor point and more to do with my taste (I don't think it looks at its best in the pump photo)

I love those wheels. I haven't seen any other that would look that good on it. Maybe paint them bronze tho.

I like the colour and style. With it being dark blue and the black vinyl I think they all go well.

I think it is the fact that they are just a bit too wide and stick out from the arches a bit much for me. I know that is the style a lot of people go for with Mk1s but I've always found that because the arches come in quite a lot at the bottom it can make them look a bit odd from certain angles.

I personally love the arches. To me, that's what gives it the "flare", and makes it stand out. It's small already so without those it would looks even smaller.

That is just the way I like a Mk1. I like the look of them as they are quite narrow and have a shape that should look a bit naff but somehow doesn't.

Just a mater of personal preference. I know a few people who would side with you on this and say "get a bit of width in there"

Looks good man! That would definitley be my "town ride" so to speak. Any plans for it, for yourself?? I always like to do a little bit of customizing myself when I acquire a new vehicle. Put my own name on it, if you know what I mean.
