I want to buy Pages '09 through the App Store. I have already purchased a couple other programs. I will soon be upgrading my hard drive in my Macbook. When I upgrade, will I be able to re-download the apps I have purchased?

Yes. Log in with your iTunes account and you can re-install the applications you have purchased on the Mac App Store.

Yes, it does. Pro-tip: If you still have the Lion installer package, you can create your own Lion installation medium - i.e. USB drive or DVD. See also http://lifehacker.com/5823096/how-to-burn-your-own-lion-install-dvd-or-flash-drive

This way you don't have to install Snow Leopard first, then upgrade to Lion.
