Software for converting m2ts files?

Hi,

I got a new sony cybershot camera with HD video etc.. and use the PMB software for sharing videos and pictures..

but i wanna be able to post to a site that doesn't support m2ts files.. and was just wondering if it is possible to convert these files.. and if so how bad would the quality be etc.. i've just never heard of these type of files before..

I'd look into Ripbot264. Lets you convert m2ts to MKV or MP4 easily, and of course free.

VidCoder, it's built on the Handbrake base but with enhanced profiles and seems to work with mts, m2ts files. It's free too, it will output to an mp4 or mkv for you. I would recommend it.
