Looking for a cheap 8GB MP3 player that's stable...

Recommended Posts

My Ipod is suddenly starting to freeze quite frequently. Yesterday it froze twice when listening to it on the subway. The first time it froze, I reset it and it played again. Then later during the day, it froze again when trying to load a song. I reset it and went back to normal. So far today, it hasn?t froze yet, but the fact that it froze twice yesterday concerns me. I think I may have to start looking for a new MP3 player. I only have 6 GB of music, so an 8GB MP3 player will do. I only need a basic MP3 player without all those bells and whistles. I just need a simple MP3 player that holds at least 8GB of music and can play the music without any issues. I just want something barebones.

Can anyone recommend a good player? How about this??

The Sansa Clip+ is a GREAT little MP3 player. Starts quickly, has plenty of features as well as a MicroSD slot, but most importantly is a great sounding music player.

They have some new model called the Clip Zip, but I don't have any experience with it. You can probably find a Clip+ for very little at any store now that they're an older model.

I've used a Coby similar to that one and the UI was a nightmare. I can't recommend it.

Pay 100 bucks for THAT? That's just crazy.

Sansa fuze (original) with rockbox. rockbox makes that player so much better. it gives yah a proper EQ, better format support, and better playlist management.

Sansa clip is a good device, I have had a few. However, I had one where the power button broke (bought for niece since she was young and didnt want to get her an iPod until I knew she would take care of it). A small as plastic piece broke off on the inside and the damn thing wouldnt turn on. And of course, my sister tossed all the packaging in the garbage and the receipt. So I had to buy her a new one.

    • Ridiculous claim that the labor cost difference of $6000 annually would increase cost per phone by $200. The employees produce 3 phones per month or what?
