Aion 3.0 (truely free) goes live today!

If any of you played Aion before or have been interested in it today marks the launch of 3.0, the largest content update since the game's release nearly 2 years go. For the NA version the game is now completely free, no game purchase required or monthly subscription fee! Yes there is a new cash shop but none of the items so far are of the pay to win type. This game used to be a huge grind fest but not anymore and is probably one of the most polished mmos available. Just a big heads up for those of you looking for something different to try.

But yeah, I'm gonna play it for a little while. Never played retail before. Just a little over an hour before the servers are up, apparently. You can download the update right now, though.
