Suppose there is a 6 room house where I want a set of speakers in every room. At one central location I'd to be able to control what music goes to those 6 sets of speakers independently. Where would I start / what would I buy to accomplish this?

Also, is there any sort of even remotely cost effective way to have independent controllers for the music in every room?

EDIT: Also, these rooms are in the process of being built so I'm not limited on to just wireless options. Either digital or regular speaker wire can be installed. I'm just looking for the most cost effective solution.

Jriver media center has something called zones that would solve that.
