Rethinking the iPhone's App Switcher

Perhaps a taskswitcher with 2 rows would be convenient but adding more options to the taskswitcher like "Search" and whatnot wouldn't be IMO. Double tapping the home button is about taskswitching, why add options to that screen which have nothing to do with taskswitching?

Though the 2 row task switcher does take up too much real estate IMO. It's about quick switching between app so my theory behind that is that it should only be about the first 8 apps. Then it shouldn't matter if you have to swipe to the right only once.

I have a few ideas for the Notification Center that I want to mockup which'll incorporate the quick settings shortcuts.
