Button text niggle - black on black - help please!

Hi.

I've been fiddling with this on and off for a year or more and still can't get it right.

XP Pro and Blinds 6. In Skin Studio all the buttons text I can find - including the text in the Windows shell section - is a lighter colour than black (red grey white etc). And yet there are still programs that throw up black text on black buttons . . . see image attached.

It's not all applications which do this. But I think it's either something I've missed in Windows shell, or it's something that's specific to just a few applications - maybe they have their own interface defaults which over-ride Windows?

But if anyone has an idea how to correct this irritation then please suggest something!
