Single label domain rename

Hello all -

I've got a domain I'm attempting to migrate from server 2003 to SBS 2011.

My sbs migration answerfile is failing during the setup routine.

The error talks about single label domain being invalid.

Current domainname: "ducksunlimited"

Rename to: "ducksunlimited.local"

Does anyone know a simple and safe way to rename it?

First off I offer my condolences on sbs, I am so very sorry that you were given that pos os to deal with. I don't wish that upon any noob or experienced tech.

Admt will do what you want. You can try sbsmigration.com for help as well. The built in tools will not do what you want.
