Despite looking around, I can't see much about this.

Does anyone know if any tv manufacturers are planning to add NFC to their TVs? Imagine how great it would be if you were watching a video on your smartphone or tablet, and to watch it on your tv you simply had to place the device on top of the tv or, better yet, the remote!

And it's not really meant for this type of transmission, at least at this time.. Even bluetooth has a faster data rate. Also keep in mind I believe it is meant to be read/only from the device with the data.

Shouldve been more clear. The NFC would simply pair the two devices. The data could then be sent using wifi direct. This is how "S Beam" works in the Galaxy S3.
