.... snip retarded banter ....

What am I mad about? I was proving him wrong.

Also, if im talking out of my "vagina" as you put it, oh wise one, then please tell me what phone you have and what verison of android came on it, and the most latest verison available for it, via official update.

Then we can talk who's mad.

Also, Yes, androids STOCK AOSP changed UI, but, touchwiz, blur, sense, they all didnt change much and add a bunch of crap on top of googles gorgeous ICS / JB UI.

HTC Vivid version 4.0.3.

We're not talking about who's mad, I'm talking about how the S3 is better than the iPhone 5. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to compare some data.

If I was in the market right now for a phone I'd probably be sitting tight to see how WP8 performs. The Nokia Lumia 920 looks like the business.

But between the S3 and the iPhone i'd be taking the S3 all day long.

I tried a brand new Samsung S3 recently and there is a lot to like about it. The large screen looks really quite nice. It's sharp, I did notice a few jaggies around circles that are not present on the same images on my iPhone 4S (I used both phones to surf the web to the same sites etc) I don't know if that is just the web browsers rendering or the phone itself though.

Apps open very fast but I did notice a bit of interface lag. The time it takes to respond to my touch and the way transitions perform looked very poor compared to my iPhone 4S. But this was an S3 running 4.0 not the new Jelly Bean so I imagine that would be greatly improved in the next OS update.

Overall I like the S3 and I'd probably advise you to buy that out of the two phones. Myself I'm going to wait for iOS 7 to be announced and if it has no features I want I'll buy the next Google Nexus phone which should be announced at around the same time as iOS 7 so it works out good for me timing wise.

...the ATIV S all wrapped in aluminum.

I think the back of the Ativ S is made of plastic that looks like aluminium.

Just flip a coin. Either phone will suffice. Or make your own decision. Coming on here and asking this question you'll never get a definitive answer. Just read up on both phones and make your decision based on that.

They're both excellent devices. If it were me though I'd wait and get the Nokia Lumia 920.

I'm getting an S3 next month, and I currently have an iPhone 4, so I think that speaks volumes about my opinion of the S3.

S3 is just too large for a phone. I want something a bit smaller. I do like how thin it is but it just to bulky for a pocket.

As for plastic or aluminum..well I put my phones in a case anyway. lol.I do not want scratches on it and it helps when I sell it again.

Have you considered the Galaxy S Blaze 4G from T-mobile? It's essentially a smaller version of the S2, but thicker than the S3. It's a solid budget smartphone but if you're looking for something with more power the S3 can't be beat

Go to your provider of choice, play with them both for a while and choose. You then have 7 days to decide if you like it or not. If you dont take it back and swap for the other. If you like it keep it, if not change it again.

Only issue with the S3 is that the S4 is coming out in March.. So if you get it now, it will be out dated in just a couple of months, but hey thats with all android devices right?

You can however get a S3 through Amazon for $100 rights now

Nokia Lumia 920 or (if it has to be Android) the next Nexus phone.

The iPhone 5 is utterly unexciting, the SIII looks and feels cheap-ish, and comes with TouchWiz. :x

Have a GS3 running CM10 N917 and it runs fantastic, love the phone, however, when asking for something like this there are many things you have to take into concideration.

Are you already familiar with either side? Do you like iOS or Android?

Also you have to look at the features, and each market place.

Is there any particular app in which you enjoy? is it on both markets?

Once you have though about all that it is easy to make a decision based on the usage you wish to get out of the device.

As it stands I like Android because it allows me to customize the device. I do not run standard software that comes on the phone so i rarely care who makes the phone (as currently Samsung has a lot of fancy apps on their device that makes people want it. I do not use any of that software)

There's so many reason why you should choose the SGS3. There is one big reason why you shouldn't... Android. if your not already an iPhone user then I suggest maybe going with the SGS3. Personally though my choice would be iOS.

With Jellybean update SGS3 narrows the gap in terms of UI speed. With the hardware, SGS3 should be sufficient for a couple of years. You can also customize it or put stock android on it so you don't have to deal with touchwiz.

I prefer to use the phone as a GPS as well so the larger screen does help in my case.

Personally, iphone 5 is overpriced for what it offers.

Personally neither. The iPhone 5 is so unexciting - because it adds features that many other phones have had for years (ex: LTE radio, larger screen, etc). Yes, the iphone 5 is an improvement upon the 4s, but I think it's behind in terms of features (software-wise). Is it going to sell well? Of course, average users love simplicity, and for them, the iPhone works. At the same time, why would you ever get an Android phone with a manufacturer skin (Touchwiz, Sense, Blur, etc.)? If you're going to get an Android device, always buy a Nexus device. It comes with the latest version of Android (screw you Verizon), without manufacturer bloat. Devices like the S3 are reasons why Android gets a bad reputation - you get a bloated experience from a manufacturer that might do 1-2 OS updates.

At the end of the day, the Android device once rooted has more customization options, something that can't be said for iOS at the same level. If you want simplicity, get an iPhone or WP device.

I guess they are both the same performance wise...

iPhone has a more beautiful & stable - in my opinion - build quality.

I guess the real difference is screensize. Here the S3 wins.
