"The Woman in Black: Angels of Death" gets greenlit

Recommended Posts

Following the success of The Woman in Black at the global box office, Hammer was quick to announce plans for a sequel.

But aside from saying that The Woman in Black: Angels of Death would be set 40 years after the original, details were thin on the ground. Until now that is.

ShockTillYouDrop have apparently scored a synopsis, with the story going something like this:

Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant. Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve?s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.

The script is currently being written by Jon Croker, though there?s no word yet on a director or start date.

I still think this is such a bad idea!

Mind you, neither version of "The Woman in Black" followed the book properly.

really? maybe didn't get much exposure across the ocean

It didn't get a ton of exposure, but I saw it here and quite enjoyed it myself.

Oddly enough even without a ton of exposure it still opened on a lot of screens.
