http://www.zdnet.com...ain;top-stories

Note how he headlines it "top 10 tech demo flops", but mainly mentions Microsoft.

I always figured this guy for a Linux fanatic, but didn't realise he was so anti-Microsoft, judging from his recent articles, a lot of which are pure click-bait.

He seems to go out of his way, (as do a few other ZDNet writers) to diss Microsoft.

I can't believe people still read ZDNet articles.
They weren't even great in the 1990's, why bother with them when CNet for example is usually better (and even they are not stellar lol)

Although I have to admit their local outlets seem to be of higher quality, at least that's the case with ZDNet Germany.

I'd hardly deem that an article. It looks more like a bunch of irrelevant YouTube video's put on a web-page with 2-3 lines of copy underneath. Hardly journalism...

Agreed. Didn't think they were still around or had a user base still reading their stuff...

There is a HCI (Human Computer Interaction) Class going on at www.coursera.org. There are a lot of video lectures there and "they are wonderful".

The only thing which I can't help but notice and which bothers me no end is that all the examples for bad design are shown from Microsoft Products like Windows or even Mac Office and all the good design examples are shown from....you got it, Mac!

I've noticed ZDNet reporters' anti-Microsoft posts, and I don't even visit the website much, so perhaps they're a regular occurrence, which would be a shame.

The only articles I read on ZDNet are those written by Mary Jo. She's one of the few good writers at ZD, at least in my opinion.

ZDNet is not a website. It's a collection of blogs. Do not dismiss it entirely just because some idiots (SJVN, AKH, ...) say stupid things ; some of the blogs are pretty interesting.
The main problem with ZDNet is that they just want money. They'll never get SJVN out because his trolling brings tons of clicks, and clicks mean ads, and ads mean money.

Why there's Ed Bott who's a total pro-Microsoft shill who writes on ZDNet.
