Is anyone seeing it yet? I'm rather curious.

I'm surprised Verizon still remembered they have a WP device.

Agreed. I hope we can get this update rolled out soon. I haven't heard anyone that got it yet...

I made the unfortunate mistake to go with AT&T (I have a Samsung Focus), and still haven't received the keyboard fix that was pushed out in Feb/March. I think the only way I'll get this update is if MS ignores AT&T and pushes it out anyway, like I've heard they're rumored to do with WP7.8.

Thankfully, my contract is up this November, so I'll definitely be looking at what WP8 devices are available with Verizon at that time...

Nice, good to finally be up to date, at least for now anyways. Well, scratch that, 7.8 will come directly from MS iirc so Verizon can't dick around with that update.

Yeah, which will be a very nice improvement if true. I hope that Microsoft takes control of updates going forward with WP8 as well. This carrier involvement is unnecessary and aggravating.

Well, Microsoft only allows them to skip 1 update, so AT&T should have to push this one out... It's ridiculous it takes them so long to review updates.

I think they are, this is why we're finally going to be getting OTA updates on new WP8 devices going forward, and that whole "at least 18 months of supported updates from the time you buy your device" bit all scream to me that MS has managed to get more control of the updates from the carriers this time around. It probably also helps that the NT core and driver model makes these updates more like Windows updates on the PC and thus the carriers aren't freaking out as much about testing and support. Though I think that MS might have also given the carriers more customization options in exchange for more control over upgrades to. Guess we'll see what the future holds, I'll be getting a new WP8 device regardless, probably see if my sister wants my current LG after it gets the 7.8 upgrade or not. I can always just keep it as a backup phone as well.

We'll see. I've heard rumors that MS changed the policy so the carriers can delay multiple updates indefinitely. I'm so glad MS is changing this for WP8, because there's no "testing" for the carriers to do after it's passed MS's tests.

so verizon hates windowsphone and is pushing out the update. att is supposedly a close partner but my keyboard still disappears regularly. sounds about right.

I think there's something to be said about Nokia and it's ability to push out updates to it's phones quick. Since the Lumia 900 went out it's had quite a few firmware and OS updates. Heck right now they're getting build 8779 which is a bit newer than Tango 8773.
