Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to OSX and am looking for a way to scrub attributes and metadata from .doc and .docx files.

I run a company which deals with sensitive documents and I need a way to strip the author data from a large number of files on a regular basis. Windows made this very easy (select all, right click, delete Author field).

How can I do this on OSX? I'm running Mountain Lion.

Thanks in advance!

Well, Windows Explorer accesses this information via a Office Plugin. No such plugin exists for Mac OS, so I'd think this is set when saving a document somehow. I'll have a poke around MSO2011 shortly and get back to you.

Thanks, much appreciated!
