Nokia design patent finally reveals mysterious Phi

Adding to the earlier news about the new Nokia phone, codename ?Phi? coming to AT&T, the site Liveside have managed to uncover a new patent filing that appears to reveal the new device in submitted drawings.

At first brush, the device looks a lot like the Lumia 800 and 900 but upon closer inspection, it matches nearly to the ?t? the previous images of the Phi that were leaked out earlier this month. One immediate item that we noticed is the screen is not curved. Although the Verge this morning mentioned this as a feature, from the images and bezel leak that we?ve seen, curved glass does not appear to be a feature and these drawings confirm that notion.

The design of the phone does have a curved back though, more so than the Lumia 900, which is quite flat on both sides of the device. This is presumably both a design choice and so it can possibly incorporate a larger battery needed to power the massive 4.7? display.

God, 4,7-inch really?! They hit the sweet spot with 4,3-inch in my opinion? I was really hoping the the Lumia 900 successor would get a similarly curved pane of glass as the Lumia 800. That's the only gripe I have with the current Lumia 900. By the looks of these drawings it's 100% flat again.

I'd rather take the headphone jack at the bottom :/ my focus has both at the top and I only wish the headphone jack was at the bottom.

It was more of a question than a statement and then I was talking about this phone specifically, is that too difficult to understand?

This combined with the other rumor about 2 phones on AT&T indicate this is the high end of the two. If this doesn't have PureView, it's not likely to end up on the lower end phone. I am sure they will have a PureView phone, I just want it to be on AT&T and T-mobile (highly tempted after t-mo's unlimited announcement.)

Yeah 4.3" is perfect, never found 4.7" comfortable =( And I agree with the curved glass. Everytime I use my wife's 800 I think dam I wish my 900 had the same curved glass.

How is it ridiculous? If you take the phone in one hand with the power cable plugged in, it's better if it's plugged at the bottom.

it looks thinner than the lumina series, so I would also guess there's no pureview. unless they were able to drastically reduce the hardware it needs.

4.3" should be an option for a different model, I doubt they'd not have a device in that area, it's just not this one. Saying that, I'd like the bigger 4.65" screen, my eyesight isn't the best out there and my current 3.8" LG is on the small side when it comes to some text. For me bigger screen is better.

The glass pane looks exactly like that of the Lumia 900. Which is 100% flat. What you're showing as being curved is just the thin plastic rim surrounding the glass.

Same here. A friend of mine has the Lumia 800 and it really looks much nicer because of the curved glass. I wouldn't give up the additional screen size for it though. But if the "Lumia 900" gets bumped to 4,7-inch and the Lumia 800 to 4,3-inch + curved glass I'll probably go for the Lumia 800. Depending on the rest of the specs of course.

Not the best picture but notice how the glass isn't flat? It curves outwards. I think it just gives it a much nicer feel and that it looks better.

If you fail to comply you risk death by being tied to four trams each going in different directions. The trams of course are driven by four family members at an intersection of your own choosing. After that we have weeklong celebrations in the capital where everyone appreciates being blessed with standing on their feet. It includes festivities in Vondel Park, Museum Square and a huge display of fireworks at Dam Square.
