Unlike the equation posted here a while ago, this isn't a troll equation, it's one that can easily be answered using standard mathematical procedures.

I just posted it because I'm amazed at the amount of people answering 1 and 3.5 on my Facebook and then calling people stupid! (I didn't post it, just answered the equation on someone else's wall and read some of the replies).

never mind, i subtracted the 1 instead of adding it :rofl: if feel derp now lol

it should be 7

The way I see it :
6-1x0+2/2

first x,/ then -+ : so 6-0+1 = 7

Mathematical laws state:
first higher powers and roots
then multiplication and deviding
and then add and subtract

do the multiplication and division first, then left to right the rest of it.

PEMDAS:
  • parenthesis
  • multiplication
  • division
  • addition
  • subtraction

^ that is the order of operations :)
