Solve 6-1x0+2/2

Recommended Posts

Unlike the equation posted here a while ago, this isn't a troll equation, it's one that can easily be answered using standard mathematical procedures.

I just posted it because I'm amazed at the amount of people answering 1 and 3.5 on my Facebook and then calling people stupid! (I didn't post it, just answered the equation on someone else's wall and read some of the replies).

Discuss :p

Edit: please post working out!

My faith in humanity is restored as most people here are getting it right :D

People that get 1 think that you solve it left to right.

People that get 3.5 think that you solve it left to right AND 5x0 = 5.

I don't really call people thick or anything like that, but if people post calling others thick they should be damn sure they're right in the first place

"It's 1 anything that is times 0 = 0 so the real question is 2 divide by 2 so the answer has to be 1 any one that got anything different are idiots"

"It's 1. Anyone that says different needs to go back to school."

Some gems being posted

Yeah, I've been really amazed by how a majority of Facebook users answers these simple math questions wrong (and stay so freaking arrogant).

Luckily, I'm quite sure there's a huge difference between Neowin users and the average FB users. :p

I don't care if people get it wrong, they should just not be an arse about it when they clearly don't know

i guess for the result being 5 can only be:

6-1x(0+2)/2

6-1x(2/2)

6-(1x1)

6-1 = 5

can't see other way for that silly result lol

It's people who think that because multiplication takes priority in the equation, they can forget about the order for the rest of it :p

(6-1)x(2/2)

    • So they saved ton of money by using AI resulting in loss of crap load of money in recalls and expenses. Bravo. Management needs to be replaced by AI, not engineers.
    • Ditto that, I have a few Alexa devices around the house to control lighting and such for a disabled person I live with, and it shows a *lot* of ads on the display. The dots are simple but effective. A lot cheaper too.
    • Go for a Echo Dot or Pop instead. These Echo shows just advertise to you.

Detailed & Intelligent History Graph Smart Scale: Logarithmic scale shows low-level traffic and large spikes clearly. Per-Interface Filtering: View speed history for specific adapters (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, VPN). Safe & Efficient Data Management: Adjustable retention, automatic cleanup, optimized database. Easy Data Export: Export raw data to .csv or save high-quality graphs for reports. NetSpeedTray v1.3.3: The Updater Fix A stabilization release that repairs a critical regression in v1.3.2: the app shipped without OpenSSL, which silently broke every HTTPS request — including the built-in update checker (the "Could not check for updates" error many of you hit). This release restores it, hardens the build so it can't happen again, and fixes a startup crash plus four other reported bugs. Changes: Fixed update checking — Resolved a critical issue that prevented the app from checking for updates ("Could not check for updates"). Fixed startup crash with Auto-Cycling — The app no longer crashes on launch after enabling Cycle display mode. Fixed incorrect network speeds on 10GbE adapters — Multi-gigabit network cards now display speeds correctly instead of being stuck at 0. Improved color coding — Default color is shown when idle, and color/threshold changes now apply immediately without restarting. Fullscreen visibility fix — The widget now correctly stays visible over fullscreen apps when Keep Visible is enabled. Improved AMD Ryzen temperature detection — More reliable CPU temperature monitoring for Ryzen processors. Cleaner upgrades — Installer now removes outdated application files during upgrades, preventing DLL/version conflicts while preserving user settings. Improved stability — Fixed potential DLL loading issues by excluding critical OpenSSL and NumPy components from UPX compression. Better settings window — Scrollbars removed and layout improved for a cleaner experience. Localization improvements — Updated translations and completed missing UI text across all supported languages. More reliable releases — Added regression tests covering recent critical fixes, bringing the test suite to 196 passing tests.
