Hey does anyone else use PowerChute for thier APC UPS and have crazy I/O usage like mine? I don't even have all the energy tracking stuff enabled... however I still wanna use it for the monitoring and to tell me the stats on power events, duration, etc....It's a newer version than I had running before and the prev. version was worse, however this is still a lot!!!

I must thank this thread, I went to look at mine and Windows Explorer was using 527,389 MB of private working set memory. I'm going to blame this on homegroups or something.

Lets hope he was showing us a process list of his "honeypot" and not of his main workstation.

Generally, I run as little as possible, almost nothing is allowed to run on startup (MiniBin only, to be exact) and I have disabled most services (like wretched Homegroups). Everything's within hands reach, though (old Quick Launch or Start Menu). I figure - after the first launch Windows caches it, anyway, so my RAM is still being used behind the scenes.

Also, of these 44, Shotty and Task Manager have been launched solely for purposes of this thread, and IIS is also specific to this session.
