mr_han_solo
Hello, I have this Belkin Ipod/iphone car charger/AM/FM tuner that plugs into my accessory power or cigarette lighter hole in my car. The problem is that the rubber piece toward the end has worn down (see photo) and not it wont stay upright while I drive. Usually when it falls my iphone is flung into my floorboard. This also causes the charger itself to wiggle out and the phone to stop charging. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to get this thing to stay upright and not move around. I checked my local auto parts store to see if they made the rubber piece at the end, as most car plug-ins have them. Unfortunately they don't carry any item like that. I also cant justify buying a new one since apple is changing their connector type. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks, Han
skilithead
Not a permanent fix , but you may try to slightly pry up one or two of the little metallic ear/keeper thingies to make it fit a little tighter in the hole.
Mando
whip out the Blu-tak and wedge it in the lighter socket! When replacing it in future dont buy belkin again, cheap tat and pretty rubbish consumer electronics in general.
