how to download a file ?

I am downloading a software from download.com using cnet downloader utility . I don't know where the software will be downloaded. Is it possible to know its download location ?

Usually it's in your %temp% folder. Why don't you donwload it directly from the developer because the cnet downloader it's pretty crappy.

I agree the cnet download sucks, I would check your downloads folder or your documents folder and arrange your folders by date modified.

According to http://cnet.custhelp...m-installer-faq the default folder is your downloads folder.

Its not there.

developer has put it in download.com .... there is no other download link .

If you have an account at download.com you can change a setting in your profile to disable the installer site-wide. Sounds like a fine use for a throw away and never checked e-mail address to me (Y)
