Why can I not remember things?

Recommended Posts

basically I have been getting angry alot recently, starting bar fights and driving off in a hump all the normal ******* things...

But I am having trouble remembering the middle of the anger I remember getting angry and why but I seem to not be able to remember alot from the situation when i got into a fight the other day I remember the anger...then I remember one or two flashes from the scuffle then I am at the bar?

or just an hour ago I got angry jumped on my motorcycle and remember moving off and small parts of the journey and that I got lost that is it.... I am trying to look this up but I cant find anything apart from blackouts but i wouldnt say its blacking out just impartial memory...

anyone got a degree in psychology ?? sadly they dont cover this kind of thing within animal studies lol

I hate blacking out like that...haven't done it in a few years, but it sucks when people are all like "don't you remember? You said/did/that/this/OMG", but you're all like "I did?" My anger takes me there sometimes too....I just simply try not to get that mad and think to myself....it's not worth getting that angry over. Sorry about that though, I know the feeling! (Y)

<snipped>

Too funny, bro! XD

its really annoying though and even more infuriating its kind of worrying my memory always has been really really good....this has happened twice in less then 48 hours

Do not take this the wrong way, but I think you absolutely need to see a professional.

Even if others admit to doing so as well, simply put, it is not normal behavior. In fact, it very well could be deadly behavior.

So need to talk to someone at the very least.

Something is doing this to your brain. The sooner you find out what it is, confront it, the sooner you can move on.

Leaving it "bottled up" so to speak, meaning thinking it will just correct itself on it's own, is not the path to take.

Good Luck.

i want to argue this point but I cant I know your right but I find it easier to talk to strangers on the internet then i do a professional... :/

And if you ever choose the foolish decision to get 'married', believe me, you will want to keep it how it is, so look at it as a 'gift' ;)

I like this troll I accept this :p

Lets hope it is not a tumor

cause thats not a depressive thought lol

Good! :)

I have yet to understand, in my long life anyway, as to why anyone would post on a board, or anywhere for that matter, **** to do with one's life? I can think of the obvious reason, yes, attention?, but apart from that, it escapes me?

Please enlighten me further.

I'm no psychiatrist by any means... at all. But is it only when you get angry?

Or have you recently quit drinking/drink often?

I only ask because I have drank for quite a long time, and recently quit drinking. I've been having similar blackouts, though, not triggered by anger or anything, but the alcohol detox process. I had to start taking DXM to combat the blackouts. Though mine only last from 10-15 seconds. I almost got my hand in a a saw the other day at work.

Basically, have you quit an vices/addictions recently, or going through a rough time? That would be my guess.

I would see a doctor of some sort. It could be very dangerous to let it continue.

because you dont know me I dont know you. you dont even know my first name.. you will probs never meet me and will most likly not bother me about it once I get some closure ... while everyone else would not stop leaving me alone and would probs bring it up or blame my actions on what ever this is ...

its just anger or so it seems im have no habbits and have had no habbits which involve regular intakes of narcotics :/ so it couldnt be that... when you got your black outs were you still functioning? or did you pass out or what? cause mine i still function (i guess or I would have crashed my motor bike)

A professional is definitely who you should be seeing if you think you have an issue. Will have my Psych degree in less than a year so I'm bias.

Still functioning, and can see. But motor skills go out briefly, and I blank. Then when it goes away, I continue doing whatever I was doing, without a hiccup. I am completely aware of what just happened, but not sure why I completely shutdown for a couple of seconds. After my doctor prescribed me the DXM it has stopped happening, so it was clearly due to the detoxing.

And after all that, your still annoying? lol :D ;)

So, probs, you have a prob, with probs? Is that what you are saying?

    • And I just bought a seat cushion for my mesh chair. The chair feels nice but the first time I sat in it with boxers, I realized I don't like the feel of mesh on my legs. 😂
    • "This Dell 27 inch 4K 120Hz IPS monitor is really cheap after a very long time" ... Lol.
    • This Dell 27 inch 4K 120Hz IPS monitor is really cheap after a very long time by Sayan Sen Recently we covered a really good deal on an AMD RX 9070 three-fan model that's available at slightly above its MSRP. If you are looking for a GPU for 1440p gaming that's around the performance of the Nvidia RTX 5070 you should most definitely check it out. Let's say that you are looking for a monitor to pair that up with too. The Samsung 49" G9 curved QD-OLED superultrawide is a good option that can provide an immersive experience. However despite being a very good deal currently (at $855), it may seem unaffordable to you, or you may simply not want to spend as much on a monitor. In that case Dell's S2725QS can be a very good option as it's on sale at the moment for its lowest price in over six months (purchase link under the specs table down below). The big highlight of the Dell S2725QS is its 27-inch IPS panel with a 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) resolution, offering a high pixel density that can make text appear sharper while also providing plenty of screen space for productivity and media consumption. The display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz through both HDMI and DisplayPort, making it suitable not only for everyday desktop use but also for smoother gaming and scrolling. AMD FreeSync Premium support is included as well, helping reduce screen tearing during gaming sessions. The screen has fairly good brightness and color accuracy so you can use it for general work purpose, though photo/video editing is probably not going to be the best match for this. The technical specs of the Dell S2725QS are given in the table below: Specification Value Viewable Screen Size 27 in (68.58 cm) Screen Mode 4K UHD Maximum Resolution 3840 × 2160 Maximum Preset Resolution 3840 × 2160 @ 120 Hz Standard Refresh Rate 120 Hz Panel Technology In-plane Switching (IPS) Backlight Technology LED Edgelight System Pixel Density 163 PPI Response Time 8 ms GTG, 5 ms GTG, 4 ms GTG Horizontal Viewing Angle 178° Vertical Viewing Angle 178° Brightness 350 cd/m² (nits) Native Contrast Ratio 1500:1 Color Support 1.07 Billion Colors Color Gamut 99% sRGB (CIE 1931) Adaptive Sync AMD FreeSync Premium HDCP Support Yes Mount Type Panel Mount VESA Mount 100 × 100 mm Maximum Height Adjustment 13 cm Tilt -5° to 21° Swivel -30° to 30° Pivot ±90° Stand Adjustments Tilt, Swivel, Height, Pivot Glass Hardness 3H Horizontal Frequency 27–270 kHz (DisplayPort 1.4 / HDMI 2.1) Vertical Frequency 48–120 Hz (DisplayPort 1.4 / HDMI 2.1) Video Inputs 2 × HDMI 2.1 (HDCP 1.4 & 2.3), 1 × DisplayPort 1.4 (HDCP 1.4 & 2.3) Operating Temperature 0°C to 40°C Storage Temperature -20°C to 60°C Operating Humidity 10%–80% (Non-condensing) Storage Humidity 5%–95% (Non-condensing) Get it at the link below: Dell S2725QS 27-inch 4K 120Hz IPS monitor: $218.49 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $280) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified.
