I know how to do a basic CMS with PHP and MySQL, what I needed to know is how to create a new product, a new page using the CMS.

I know how to change a picture, change text, etc, but creating is something different.

I was looking at this from Lynda.com, does this has what I need?

Can someone point me to other tutorials?

Another good point to start is seeing how open source php cms projects are written :)

I don't see the point in learning how to build a php CMS.
There are ones already out there that do an excellent job. If building a CMS is all you're bothered about perhaps using one of those and customising it to your needs is the way to go.
Especially if you already have a grasp of PHP.

That lynda course covers a bit of PHP but if you can build a basic CMS. A lot of that you probably already know. Chapter 12 onwards looks ok though.
Although i personally would go with an already established CMS.

Yes, I thought about that and that's the way I'm doing with Javascript, but (for me) the best way to learn is doing from scratch and I wanted to have this "adventure" (if it's not too complicated).

I'm gonna try that course from Lynda.
