Welcome to 2012. Sounds like you missed the last several months.

Anyway, what's so funny about a tablet that can function as a laptop? You obviously don't know anything about Surface.

Point being that there's the movement to go tablet and get away from laptops, but then add on a keyboard for functionality, and what do you have? A laptop.

This was my first thought too.

Has there been confirmation yet on whether the keyboard is included in the box with the surface? Since they're heavily marketing it as a key feature it'd be pretty poor form for it to be sold separately.
