I kinda agree that by not having as many apps as the other platforms it's easier to stand out but at the same time you have to bring your A game. The few apps I have installed do what I want and do it well enough at least and we're still talking the limited WP7.x apps. With WP8 and all the new APIs and developer features they've now added to the platform I expect to see lots more apps but more importantly I expect to see the ones that were already good get even better with support for new features and abilities.

Yeah, and it's a huge negative if I want to switch back to WP8 (from Android). There is a major lack of apps that I use everyday on Android. I used to be someone that didn't care for apps, but I have started exploring/getting into apps on the Android ecosystem.
