Hi everyone,

I've got a Samsung 46" es8000, liking it a lot.
To go with it I bought an lg nb3520a soundbar.

I want to control the volume of the soundbar through the tv, but the bar only has optical inputs and USB input. The tv does not support USB audio output.

Is there any way of accomplishing this? I can't return the speakers at this point. I've researched and found people talking about an RCA is that relevant here? Could it work?

Oh another bit, remote controls are irrelevant, we tend to only use the gesture and voice control.

Thanks for any insight :)

Usually those things only work over HDMI-CEC. If your soundbar doesn't have HDMI then I guess you don't really have any options...
