I happened to be looking through some of my old bookmarks, and I do mean old, and came across and old dual boot how to webpage I had booked marked many years ago. Reading the requires made me smile and just goes to show you really how times have changed from when many of us first starting using the PC.

• Large hard drive(s). Installing 2 Operating Systems can take up a lot of hard drive space. I’d recommend having at least a 4 Gig hard drive, preferably a fast one at that. Although preferably you’d have 2 separate UDMA capable hard drives.
  
• 128MB RAM or more. While it’s probably not technically a requirement – Windows 2000 is very RAM intensive. No serious users should have less than this amount of RAM.

I remember my first pc still, 8086
It had 2 floppy drives
No hard drive and about 640KB of memory
The first HD I bought was 40MB

A year or 2 later when we bought a new pc and ordered a 100MB HD everybody thought we were crazy, because you would never be able to fill that up

It is indeed funny how the times and pc's have changed

I also remember the good old days

Dual floppy
640k RAM
no HDD or mouse, yet
This was big too 12" COLOR screen, not that amber or green stuff but colors!
