What are my choices here? From what I can find it seems to be out of:
1) iPhone 5
2) Samsung Galaxy S3
3) HTC One X+

Any others out there?

Phones with expandable storage (of 64gb external) not an option?

To be honest not really. I find expandable storage annoying and unreliable as well as being badly supported in most OS's.

My experience with expandable storage with Android has been good. I put in a 32gb micro sd when I first got the phone and it feels to be completely integrated with the system. You can generally choose whether you want to use the expanded storage or the internal storage as the main storage for the phone. I am not sure if stock Android has this feature, but CM9/10 both do. However, expandable storage on my Surface could be improved quite a bit.
