I jumped straight from IE8 to IE10. There are some things I like and some I don't. The only real sticking point is the yellow notification bar down by the bottom. If I ever try and download something at the same time as a pop-up is blocked or something wants to use Flash Player, I can no longer see the download. This gets freakin' tedious. Ideally, the download would just pop up IE8 style but I don't think anyone does plugins or hacks for IE anymore.

I tried Chrome and wanted to kill myself. There are some things I really love and some basic stuff that makes me feel like I'm back in the early days of IE/AOL. No permanent zoom? Autocomplete everything. No option or even a plugin to delete browsing history upon exit.

Firefox and Opera don't appeal to me. I've tried both and while I like Firefox to an extent, it always seems to crash every few minutes on my desktop and laptop computer (XP and 8, respectively).

Can anyone recommend the best one for me or atleast solutions to my problems with Chrome/IE? Thank you

I can't help with Chrome or IE as I almost never open Chrome, and at work we use IE8. However, it surprises me that you say that Firefox crashes every few minutes. I can't say that I share that experience, maybe look in to solving that issue since you seem to get on with Firefox when it works.

Microsoft confirmed June 23, 2026, that its Fairwater campus in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, is fully operational — and the engineering behind it makes the facility something fundamentally different from every data center that came before it. Where conventional cloud infrastructure racks up general-purpose servers and parcels out workloads to each one independently, Fairwater links hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200 Blackwell GPUs into a single, coherent cluster using a two-story building design, 800-gigabit-per-second Ethernet fabric, and a proprietary networking protocol co-developed with OpenAI and NVIDIA. The result, according to Microsoft, is the closest thing to a purpose-built AI supercomputer that any company has ever placed in commercial operation. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/319205/20260627/microsoft-opens-fairwater-wisconsin-ai-campus-runs-one-supercomputer-via-800g-ethernet.htm
