Dinggus
I have a 2TB HDD that is starting to fail on me, I can't move/add files to it. My wife is looking at replacing it for me for Christmas, and we are trying to decide which one would be best for me. I will be using it to stream movies/tv shows/etc. to AppleTV 2 and that's about it. It would also hold personal information/pictures/videos. I want a 4TB HDD but she thinks getting be 2x3TB HDD's would be a better deal since she'll be only paying a few dollars more for 6TB total. This is the one I want: http://www.amazon.co..._bxgy_pc_text_z This is the other one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00834SJS0/ref=gb1h_img_c-3_1582_AE3WM5BEPLUHF?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_r=19QT8BM5CNHXBYWG5D5E&pf_rd_i=5550342011&pf_rd_p=1416111582 Can someone please let me know what are the main differences and what would be good for me. Thank you in advance.

Mindovermaster Moderator Posted November 27, 2012 Moderator Share Posted November 27, 2012 Above 3TB, the drives tend to be unreliable. I would get the first one. It has backup software built in. Edit: Duh, Crispy. :p Crisp 1 Share
Dinggus
Well they're both different, ones 3TB the other is 2TB. Thank you, guess it would be to hard to click the 3TB. I'm asking what would be good for my use. Above 3TB, the drives tend to be unreliable. I would get the first one. It has backup software built in. Edit: Duh, Crispy. :p Is there any thing different between them besides the backup software?
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted November 27, 2012 Moderator Share Posted November 27, 2012 Other than the capacity, no. They both use USB3, so you will have the same configuration between both.
