Hello,

I'm trying to recover some photos deleted by mistake. I have used Paretologic Data Recovery Pro and UndeletePlus, however some photos appear to be corrupt.

Are there any programs people have used to recover corrupt photos.

Thanks

The normal procedure would be to restore those files from your backup. I assume you don't have one? Very painful way of learning the BACKUP up your SH_T!!! lesson.

If looking to recover photos, I would suggest photorec

If your tool recovered the files, but don't work - most likely parts of the files were over written once you deleted them and that space became available for other files. How long after you deleted them did you try and do the recovery?

Did you install new software onto the disks the files were stored?

I use Recuva to recover deleted files.

Just be sure to copy the recovered files to another HD.

I would agree with Budman on this, Photorec is a phenomenal piece of software!

Any of them will work. I would prefer Photorec if given the choice.

I did not have a backup. The funny thing is I was in the process of transferring the files to my nas when something went wrong. The files were deleted about 3 months ago.

I tried photorec and it took 35 hours. A lot of the photos have been recovered. Some of them are corrupt and cannot be opened. Is there another way to open these?
