Peanuts in my Dr Pepper

Recommended Posts

OK. I need to make sure I'm not being Trolled by the Internet.

Recently I've been having massive cravings for anything with peanuts in it and Dr Pepper, so much so I decided to Google it to see if my body was trying to tell me something and then I cam across a Texan tradition of putting salted peanuts in Dr Pepper or in Coke. Do people actually do this!!! Is this real?, And how can it taste nice. I wanna try it because I'm for trying anything at least once but I cannot imagine this tasting nice at all.

I guess it works. Think about it, when you're at the bar they have salted peanuts and you have your drink, and you will have some nuts and then take a drink. Why not remove the middle step and just have an all-in-one type drink? Although I'm not sure if a peanut gets soggy or if it would retain its crunchiness, so maybe it wouldn't be so great...

EDIT: thechronic...wow, my mind has just been blown. And they plan on turning it in to a feature film?

I like to dump an entire pack of skittles into a large glass of milk, stir it up, then let it sit for about 5 minutes. The milk tastes like skittles, and you can even eat them at the bottom once you are finished with the milk, though, they are generally really hard, so it may be difficult.

Also, I don't drink soda hardly at all, but when I do; Barq's Root Beer. Mmmm. :)

+10 for not spelling it with a 'g'.

Yes. People do that.

They do? Lol.

I googled "barg's" and sure enough, people do. How in the world do they mistake that 'q' for a 'g'? The "swoosh" goes backwards in the letter! Not everyone paid attention in cursive handwriting lessons I see.

I thought this was very bizarre at first but I researched it. Apparently, it's a "Southern tradition". I just watched a video of someone drinking it on YouTube and I'm interested in trying it.

Start watching it at 9m20s.

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
