drugo Posted December 15, 2012 Share Posted December 15, 2012 Hi i don't like itunes , l like foobar , i used to manage my music with winamp or mediamonkey well i run on my laptop w7 32bit i would like to buy an ipod nano 7g do i need itunes? i mean do i need itunes to format it or set it up as usb storage? in short , out of the box , can i connect to my laptop and use foobar or winamp or mediamonkey to send my mp3 to it? or it's a must install itunes to upload software ,initialize thanks cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

LUTZIFER Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 I've had many iPods over time, and absolutely loved em, and yes there are other programs other than iTunes that can sync with your iPod, and I've tried em, however, although I'm not a fan of iTunes, I ended up using it just for that since it's pretty much the best for syncing with your iPod, plus I'm pretty sure you need it to get any firmware updates, etc. etc. It's not like it's any trouble to just use it for syncing.
